FPV Testers
Filter Pressure Value (FPV) tester is a core testing device specifically designed for quantitatively evaluating the dispersion effect of pigments or fillers in polymer materials (such as masterbatches and modified plastics). Its working principle involves passing the polymer melt through a standard filter screen. A precise pressure sensor monitors and calculates the pressure difference before and after the filter screen, which is the filter pressure value. This value directly reflects the material quality: a smaller FPV value indicates better dispersibility, fewer impurities, and better flowability; conversely, a larger FPV value suggests a risk of agglomeration or impurity blockage. With this precise quantitative indicator, the instrument plays a crucial “quality judge” role in material research and development, production process quality control, and standardized product inspection.

FPV Tester
The Filter Pressure Value(FPV) Tester is used to quantitatively evaluate the dispersion uniformity of pigments and additives in a carrier within color masterbatches, filler masterbatches, or functional masterbatches. This machine helps plastics researchers compare the dispersion effects of color masterbatches under different formulations…
